Lake Norden Ambulance is in need of volunteers! Will you help?
We provide essential emergency medical services to the areas of Lake Norden, Bryant, Hayti, Badger, Hazel, and Lake Poinsett.
Being there to help people in their time of greatest need is extremely rewarding. If you want to help people and give back to your community, this is a great way to do just that.
Requirements to volunteer:
- No experience is necessary, but you must be 18.
- Able to be on call 36 hours a month
- Must attend 5 meetings a year
Don't worry if you feel you aren't qualified - we will train you!
Training starts in January and runs through May. Train Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus every other Saturday

About
Lake Norden Ambulance is located in the town of Lake Norden, South Dakota. We are run completely by volunteers from our area.

Our team includes Paramedics and Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. We also have many licensed and registered nurses on our team, along with residents from throughout our area.
We answer calls in the towns and rural areas in Hamlin County. We also assist surrounding counties when necessary.

All volunteers are trained to handle any situation they may be called to. All volunteers keep up their CPR certification and are trained in the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).
